What You’ll Learn: Our handbuilding pottery classes cover the fundamentals. You’ll explore essential skills such as: Clay preparation and wedging Joining and assembling hand-built pieces Pinch, coil, and slab-building techniques Using slump and hump molds Building boxes and lids Glazing and finishing your work This course is designed to give you a broad introduction to pottery, letting you learn the basics of ceramics and experiment with different techniques to find your creative path. What to Know: No experience necessary — perfect for beginners Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy (apron or towel encouraged) Each weekly session includes hands-on instruction and individual guidance No make-up classes offered — you’re welcome to come in during open studio to work on your own Course includes all supplies, including firing costs Ages 14 and up As a bonus, students enrolled in this course enjoy access to our Fort Worth ceramics studio whenever it’s open and no other classes are in session — giving you plenty of time to practice and create at your own pace!
