Above & Beyond

In the year 2000, a trio consisting of Jono Grant, Tony McGinness and Paavo Siljamaki created Above &amp; Beyond. Hailing form London, two electrical engineering students-Jono and Paavo-met at The University of Westminster in 1999. Together they created their own label, Anjunabeats, in order to release their samples and electronic music. Tony joined the duo later that year just as their success was snowballing due to their remix of Chakra's song, "Home". Their debut album, "Tri-State", was deemed "Brilliant" by UK's DJ Magazine. Above &amp; Beyond was able to match their intial success with their second album, "Group Therapy", which eventually led the trio to host a weekly radio show using the same title as the album. <br><br>In January of 2014, Above &amp; Beyond released their third album, "Acoustic". This album's title is a nod to their music making process, which Tony has described as "Fairly acoustic...we don't just stick a bit of vocal over a dance track. We try to start with a song...and then progress them into a dacefloor friendly verison."<br><br>As of 2013, DJ Magazine ranked Above &amp; Beyond #17 on their Top 100 DJ Poll.<br><br>
