Adult Workshop: Exploring Church’s Icebergs at the DMA

Join Dallas-based artist and painting educator, Juliana Crownover as the DMA joins museums all over the world to celebrate the 200th birthday of Frederic Edwin Church. The creator of one of the DMA's most beloved and iconic artworks, The Icebergs, would turn 200 on May 4, 2026. As part of the world-wide celebration, we are creating a unique opportunity to learn more about Church and his artwork during a private curator-led tour at the museum followed by an artist-led workshop where you will create your own version of The Icebergs. The class will explore the magic of complementary colors—how to mix luminous grays and make colors truly sing.
