Citizen Soldier was born when frontman Jake Segura penned the lyrics to one of their first songs from a psychiatric hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Segura now sits on the other side of the therapy couch, working as a licensed trauma counselor to tell the stories of those navigating internal struggles through a no-frills alt/rock post/grunge packaging. The Utah five piece of members Jake Segura (lead vocals), Wonitta (bass/piano) Kyle Persell (drums) Kooper Hanosky (rhythm guitar), and Matt Duffney (lead gut-punching storytelling. "Citizen Soldier isn't your typical rock band.
