Contemporary 3D Collage (Sunday 6/21 Workshop)

This workshop guides students to create a 3D piece of art using a variety of materials. The artwork fits inside a provided 10x10 2in. shadow box frame. Many different kinds of materials are provided, and students can bring their own items to personalize their art. i.e.; photos or memorabilia. Decorative and vintage papers, magazine images, and a variety of 3D objects are included. We will discuss composition, color themes and layering of items. Students are encouraged to assemble 3D items to create depth and dimension. Students leave with a framed piece of art. Very often a story develops around the art. Please bring a lunch. Location: The MIX Creative Space 9125 Diceman Drive Dallas, TX 75218. Downstairs in the White Rock United Methodist Church. Entrance A on the north side near the accessible ramp.
