Join DID YOU READ YET for a bookclub meetup at Deep Vellum to gather and read translated works of Asian authors! We’ll connect on our relationships to the languages we speak or are tied to through family, as well as the limits and uniqueness of semantics. We’ll have some translated reads available if you don’t have any! Schedule: 1:30-2pm - Trickle in & chat 1:30-2pm - Trickle in & chat 2-3pm- Silent reading 2-3pm- Silent reading 3-4pm- Group discussion 3-4pm- Group discussion A gentle reminder that the DYRY bookclub centers the Asian diaspora of DFW. However, we welcome all, especially those of BIPOC or marginalized identities, as we know that the way to flourish in community is to grow together.
