Erick Barnes

Dallas “piano man” Erik Barnes has been delighting patrons of the Library Bar for more than 15 years, including notables like Bobby Short, Alanis Morsette, Gregory Hines and John Mayer. Whether it is romantic ballads “when love is in the air” or upbeat tunes for business types who need to decompress, Erik says, “the room isn’t about me, it’s about the people who inhabit it.” Nevertheless, the Library Bar would not be the same without Erik’s urbane presence. Erik hold degrees from Yale College (B.A.), Washington State University (M.A.), and he conducted doctoral studies at the University of North Texas. He has performed concerts in many of the major cities and played with four orchestras.
