Her accolades include a Grammy for X Mí (Vol. 1), Grammy nominations for Alegoría (Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album, 2023) and Illusion (Best Latin Pop Album, 2017), two Latin Grammy Awards (Best New Artist, 2013; Best Traditional Tropical Album, 2023), and Latin Grammy nomination (Best Long Form Music Video 2025). She earned an Emmy nomination for co-writing the Parks and Recreation theme song and has shared stages worldwide with artists like Bono, Andrea Bocelli, Tracy Chapman, and Buena Vista Social Club. Moreno’s versatility extends to television and film, where she voiced Marlena and performed the theme song for Disney’s Elena of Avalor, contributed to Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, and wrote “El Saber” for the acclaimed film Radical. Her work as a producer on Omara Portuondo’s VIDA earned her another Latin Grammy in 2023. Her latest album, Dusk, released via Cosmica Artists, features a collaboration with Oscar Isaac on “Luna de Xelajú, ” honoring their Guatemalan roots. Moreno has showcased her talent on major television programs including Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Good Morning America.

Gaby Moreno was born and raised in Guatemala City. From an early age she became interested in music and at age 13 she learned to play guitar. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles to study at the Musician´s Institute. In 2007, she won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Song of The Year award, becoming the first ever Latin category to win the contest. Since 2014 she is part of the Judges for this premier international songwriting competition. In 2010 she was nominated for an Emmy Award for composing the theme song from the hit NBC show "Parks and Recreation". In 2013 she received the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Gaby Moreno has been touring different European countries and most cities of the United States, presenting her music in English and Spanish, leaving critics mesmerized with "A natural source in a voice that blends sweet and yet powerful, with melodies that caress the soul".
