There are two bands with the name ‘Health’: 1. HEALTH is an noise rock band consisting of four members including Benjamin Jared Miller, Jake Duzsik, John Famiglietti, and Jupiter Keyes. All are from different cities including Seattle, San Diego, and their current home base, Los Angeles. HEALTH have released: ‘HEALTH’ (2007), ‘Disco’ (2008), ‘Get Color’ (2009) and ‘::Disco2’ (2010). HEALTH plan to tour continuously doing what they love and do best, make eccentric and original music. Jake met Jupiter in college. John met Jake in a guitar store. Jared was drawn to the fold by way of Internet courtship. The band is often considered noise rock, but besides having some slight elements of the genre, they don’t fit the sound of other, current bands included in the noise rock scene, due to them mixing such genres as dance and electronica. They have several releases to date, including one self-titled full length, a split with good friends Crystal Castles, another split with art punk band Elphaba, two tour CD-R’s, and one Tape release of them performing Live at the smell. 2. Health are a folk rock band with a soul feel from the depths of Greensboro, North Carolina. They consist of Marc Bernstein, Eben Dennis, Jonathan Moore, Anna Murray, Mark Wingfield. They lay out heavy, funky, smooth beats.

Carpenter Brut draws its influences from 80s TV shows and B-movies loaded with synthesizers. The mysterious and discreet man behind the pentagon – or the Brutagram as his fans would call it – evokes an encounter between Justice beats and the universe of John Carpenter.

About

Stemming from a D.I.Y. noise scene based around the downtown L.A. art space The Smell, Health make mathy indie rock with tribal drums, squealing guitars, asymmetrical basslines, and a home-made guitar pedal/microphone called a Zoothorn. As a four-piece led by Jacob Duzsik, the band played its first show after practicing together for six months, and started making a go in Los Angeles, playing ten-minute sets with like-minded local bands like Ex Models, No Age, and Mika Miko. After a few tours and a slot at SXSW, they returned to home base and started recording their debut album at The Smell. Capturing the cavernous brick acoustics with vintage microphones, Health featured a unique brand of aggressive and concise songs, and was released by Lov
