About
Lindsey Stirling is one of the entertainment industry’s most extraordinary and beloved talents, captivating global audiences with her musical and performance artistry. A classically trained violinist and dancer (and now aerialist), Lindsey merged her classical roots with the progressive world of electronic beats and rock, creating a sound and style uniquely her own and a spectacular stage show that consistently sells out venues around the world. Vivacious, powerful, upbeat and fully present, Lindsey has a unique gift for connecting deeply with her audience as she shares her personal journey through music, dance and inspirational conversation. The multi-platinum recording artist and media personality touts over 28M followers across all social platforms – including 14.3M subscribers and over 3B views on YouTube – and her chart-topping hits across seven, critically acclaimed albums, numerous gold and multi-platinum singles, and two Billboard Music Awards, have reinforced her status as a global entertainment force who has captured the hearts of millions. Lindsey first broke through by creating stunning performances that infused a mix of hip-hop, pop and classical violin music with contemporary dance and ballet – something it’s fair to say no one had ever seen before. Appearing on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, she came in as a quarterfinalist, and while not the winner of the show, this propelled her to further hone her unique talents, along with the belief that she could create a stage show and repertoire that could one day fill seats and touch audiences. Continuing to refine her craft, Lindsey started uploading videos to YouTube, cultivating a unique and dedicated fan base. She released her eponymous, now-platinum debut album in 2012 in conjunction with a North American tour; shortly thereafter, YouTube announced that her song “Crystallize” was the eighth most-viewed video of the year (it currently has more than 300M views). She was the second best-selling artist on the Billboard Classical Crossover charts in 2013, and in 2014 she released her second studio album “Shatter Me,” embarking on a world tour. Her third studio album “Brave Enough” was released in 2016 and debuted at #1 on the U.S. Dance/Electronic Albums charts, and secured the #5 slot on the Billboard 200. Her fifth studio album “Artemis” was released in 2019, with NASA releasing a companion video of Lindsey performing the title song to promote its “Artemis” program. She has released two best-selling holiday albums, “Warmer in Winter” and “Snow Waltz,” and is currently on a world tour to support her latest album, “Duality,” released in 2024. Lindsey has also expanded her touring business to include orchestra shows that bring her back to her classical roots while highlighting her original music. Concurrent with her many accomplishments and accolades in entertainment, Lindsey is a New York Times best-selling author – her autobiography “The Only Pirate at the Party” was released in 2016 and she has also created her own comic book. She has appeared on television’s Today Show, Conan, The Kelly Clarkson Show and Live with Kelly and Ryan, and in 2017 was the runner-up on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. She has performed the National Anthem for the NFL, appeared at Lollapalooza Paris, and Olympian Suni Lee performed her floor routine at the 2024 Summer Games to Lindsey’s music, winning her a gold medal. In response to the pandemic, Lindsey took her artistry to new heights, funding and directing a virtual holiday livestream that garnered over 100,000 unique viewers. She also created The Upside Fund, her nonprofit dedicated to helping fund and advocate for accessibility in all areas of healthcare and mental health (to date, The Upside Fund has eliminated over $17 million in medical debt for individuals in need). In addition to her musical, on-camera, writing and philanthropic achievements, Lindsey is a soughtafter motivational speaker, continuing to use her story to inspire others. She lives and teaches the importance of embracing one’s unique qualities – reminding audiences that individuality is the true key to success – and shines as a beacon of light and positivity in today’s media industry, bringing her own brand of “magic” to all she touches. $1 per ticket goes towards Lindsey’s foundation, The Upside Fund, which focuses on equitable healthcare and medical debt relief, mental health access, and nutrition education and food justice.

Lindsey Stirling is one of the biggest artist development breakthrough stories in recent years. A classically trained violinist from Gilbert, AZ, Lindsey has entered a futurist world of electronic big beats and animation, leaping through the music industry with over 675 million views on YouTube, Billboard chart-topping hits and sold out tours worldwide.

Lindsey’s self-titled debut album featured twelve original tracks; including the viral smash “Crystallize,” which has racked up over 97 million YouTube views. The album has sold over 350,000 copies in the US without the backing of a major label, and has gone platinum in Germany and gold in Poland and Switzerland. The album reached number one on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Chart and the Billboard Classical Album Chart and also peaked at #22 on the Billboard Top 200. On April 29th, 2014 Lindsey released her new album Shatter Me, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, her highest charting album to date. The album features 12 new songs written by Lindsey and includes collaborations with lead singer Lzzy Hale from the Grammy winning band Halestorm and The Voice runner-up Dia Frampton of Meg & Dia. “I really dug deep and poured my heart into Shatter Me,” said Lindsey. “Everything from the artwork to the music shares a cohesive message that I hope will inspire others to push their own boundaries.”

It is hard to believe that Piers Morgan told Lindsey Stirling the world had no place for a dancing dubstep violinist. But being voted off 2010’s “America’s Got Talent” at the quarterfinals turned out to be the best thing that’s ever happened to her. Rejection simply strengthened Stirling’s resolve to be herself. “The same reasons I was told I wouldn’t succeed are the reasons people travel hundreds of miles to see me now,” she laughs. “Because it’s different. Because it’s something you haven’t seen before…” Since the show, Lindsey has flourished as an artist.

Raised in a Mormon community in Arizona, Lindsey studied classical music rigorously as a teenager. Lindsey’s love for the violin would not let go, and it became a comfort throughout her struggle with an eating disorder during her early adulthood. Through this passion, Lindsey has created a new music world where the romance of Celtic folk music and modern classical meet the infectious energy of dance and electronica.

On stage, Stirling moves with the grace of a ballerina but works the crowd into a frenzy, “dropping the beat” like a rave fairy. Stirling is the model of a modern independent recording artist, with a symbiotic relationship with her fans. She is famed for taking “requests” and has recorded unique versions of the themes from “Phantom Of The Opera” and “Game Of Thrones”, the computer games “Zelda,” “Pokemon,” and “Skyrim,” as well as pop songs by Michael Jackson and Rihanna; She uploads them all to Lindseystomp, a secondary YouTube channel packed with music videos and short comedy films, many featuring her alter-ego – a ‘superfan’ named Phelba.

A motivational speaker in her spare time, Stirling uses her own story to show teenagers that you’ve got to have confidence in the very thing that makes you unique – then wait for the world to catch up.
