About
Medium Build’s vision is to take the sense of community his music creates far beyond wherever he calls home. Last year was busy for Medium Build, opening shows for Lewis Capaldi, Matt Maeson, and FINNEAS, while selling out his headlining tour across N. America and playing shows in Europe on the heels of his Health EP. 2024 proves to be no different, with a EU / UK tour supporting Holly Humberstone, California dates with Tyler Childers, his biggest US headline tour to date, and a handful of major festivals punctuated by Bonnaroo. All this touring will support a slew of new music following last year's "In My Room", which has already won the hearts of peers, and been championed by BBC1, Alt Nation, and Zane Lowe. About the venue
Performing
Anchorage, Alaska based project Medium Build cannot be easily pinned down. Sometimes a solo endeavor, sometimes a full band, at its core, Medium Build is a creative outlet. It’s the effort of Nick Carpenter and anyone else who has fallen into his orbit over the last five years that let him put the microphones where he wants. It’s an ever-evolving collaboration built around a mutual love of 80s country, grapefruit soda water, and 90s RnB. Carpenter creates richly layered tracks by weaving raw, emotionally honest lyrics with driving instrumentation. He effortlessly blends the electronic with the analog and draws the audience into sad songs you can dance to. And don’t forget, the vision is “Let’s keep it shitty.”
Started as a fun experiment in the kitchen of a house in Perrystown, The Scratch are a 4-piece act from Dublin, Ireland. Born from a shared love of guitar, metal and traditional Irish music, The Scratch have moulded triumphant melodies with the groove and intensity of metal. You will not have seen anything like this band. A 2017 busking trip to Rory Gallagher festival in Ballyshannon kick-started the journey, as a video of the band busking racked up an astonishing one million views in just a week and was shared around the world. This began a whirlwind of momentum, culminating in two sold out Olympia Theatres in Dublin in 2022 alongside a sold out Irish and UK Tour. 2022 also saw them play at some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including Download, Reading and Leeds, Electric Picnic, Latitude and Rock For People. The band’s first EP Old Songs was released in 2018, a collection of older instrumental material. Next up came stand-alone singles and crowd favourites Get It Right Up Ye and Punisher that summer. 2019 saw the release of The Whole Buzz EP as well as singles Cúnla and Flaker, with a marked development of their song writing style and sound.
