This year, the DMA is doing Pride with a little bit more funk. You can expect disco vibes all night long and a special spotlight on Black Queer culture in celebration of Juneteenth! Come groove, explore, and experience art just as diverse and one-of-a-kind as Texas. Look for a special performance at our annual Kiki Ball, featuring icons from the Dallas Ballroom scene. Meet us on the dance floor in your best retro glam!Admission to the Dallas Arts District Pride Block Party is FREE.The Museum will close at 5:00 p.m. and reopen for Pride guests at 6:00 p.m. All guests will enter through the Main Entrance across from Klyde Warren Park or the Flora Street Entrance and go through a security bag checkpoint.Special exhibitions require paid admission. Pride Photo Studio: Dallas Loves You 2026 Eagle Family Plaza After applying your tattoo, step up to the DMA Pride Photo Booth designed by Dallas-based designer Ciera Oates, with support from LGBTQ+ owned Watson Branding & Marketing: Made in Texas! Scheduled Activities Community Information Partners 6:00–10:30 p.m., Eagle Family Plaza and Concourse CinéWilde – Texas’s only monthly LGBTQ film series, hosted at the Texas Theater in Oak Cliff. Dallas Police Department, LGBTQ+ Liaisons – Through ongoing, proactive community-driven initiatives and engagement, the LGBTQ+ Liaison serves as an advocate for the LGBTQIA2S+ community to build trust between the Dallas Police Department and the community it serves. Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum – A museum dedicated to teaching the history of the Holocaust and advancing human rights to combat prejudice, hatred, and indifference. North Texas Votes – A nonprofit working to advance civic engagement among college students and underrepresented communities across North Texas by increasing voter registration, delivering accessible and accurate election education, and promoting sustained participation in every election. DIY Pride Fan 6:00–8:00 p.m., Eagle Family Plaza Get creative and show your Pride! Stop by to decorate your own fan using blank fan templates and markers. Draw anything that represents you, your identity, or what Pride means to you. All materials provided and all ages welcome. Come show off your Pride in style! Texas Patio Culture: Disco Edition 6:00–10:00 p.m., Eagle Family Plaza The DMA Cafe patio will have specially themed drinks and light bites for purchase along with custom photo ops, lawn games, music, community information, art making, and temporary tattoos. Drop-In Artist Workshop with Taylor Gibson 6:00–10:00 p.m., Art Studio, C3 Tower Gallery, Level 4 Join artist Jacob Taylor Gibson for a drop-by art-making experience for people of all experience levels. The workshop is free, and all materials will be provided while they last. Seating is limited.Jacob Taylor Gibson is an interdisciplinary artist based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, where he earned a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, he recently completed an MFA in studio art with a concentration in printmaking from the University of North Texas. His work is primarily created through printmaking, ceramic sculpture, sound art, and installation. Currently, Jacob serves as the Programs Manager at The Cedars Union, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing facilities and resources to artists in the DFW area. Badge of Pride: Wear Your Story6:00–10:00 p.m., Central ConcourseColor outside the lines. Or don’t. Either way, you leave with something that’s yours. Join the Badge of Pride team to create a custom button. Choose from bold, ready-made designs inspired by the spirit of Queer history, or start from scratch and create your own. Color it. Press it. Wear it. All supplies are provided. First-come, first-served while supplies last. American Art Tour: The DMA Gets Dragged!7:00–7:30 p.m. and 8:00–8:30 p.m., Meet at the Red Elevators on Level 4 Join the Round-Up Saloon’s Drag Queens for a unique tour of the DMA’s American art collection. Space is limited. Creativity Challenge7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., Tower Gallery, Level 4Take part in a team-based crafting challenge inspired by Iron Chef, Chopped, and other similar competitions! Each team will have a limited amount of time and a variety of surprise materials to complete a mystery challenge; with the winners receiving a set of themed prizes. Sign up is available at the Visitor Services desk and in the Tower Gallery. Limit 12 teams of up to four people each; all materials provided, no artmaking experience required. Western Disco Dance Class with the Round-Up Saloon House Dancers 7:15–8:00 p.m., Hamon Atrium Celebrate with the Round-Up Saloon, the home of good times and good people in the heart of Dallas for 45 years. Join the Round-Up Saloon house dancers for performances and free dance lessons in the Hamon Atrium. Can't get enough? Catch their encore performance and lessons outside on the Dallas Arts District stage at 9:00 p.m.! Vogue Academy Presented by Abounding Prosperity 7:30–8:00 p.m. and 8:30–9:00 p.m., Founders Room, Level 2 near the Ross Avenue Entrance Help us celebrate 10 years of the Vogue Academy with this one-night-only Voguing workshop led by Christopher Walker. Come refine your moves before strutting your stuff on the catwalk during the Kiki Ball. Love Jones Monroe: Queer the Runway8:30–9:00 p.m., Hamon Atrium Join Love Jones Monroe as she sets the mood for a fabulous high-octane Queer runway show featuring House of Armadaus and runway show producer Chelsea Davis. Sketching in the Gallery with the Round-Up Saloon 8:30–9:00 p.m. and 9:30–10:00 p.m., Level 4 Landing, American Art Galleries Grab a seat and sketch an artwork or the colorful characters striking a pose on the Level 4 Landing. Join our friends at the Round-Up Saloon for a 30-minute sketching session and a few laughs. All supplies are provided. CinéWilde Film Screening 8:30–9:30 p.m., Horchow Auditorium CinéWilde, Texas's only monthly LGBTQ film series, presents short films followed by a conversation with Dallas Black Queer Collective. Kiki Ball Presented by TENSORCHOPS 9:30–10:30 p.m., Hamon Atrium Enjoy a unique and fabulous display of dancers from the Dallas Ballroom scene led by JRock Dupree. See classic Kiki Ball moves like Vogueing, Runway, and other elements from the Ballroom scene. Watch seasoned dancers from the local houses and then join in to strut your stuff on the runway!
