Join us as we dive headfirst into lesbian and sapphic literature! Spanning genre, time, and translation we'll read from an array of authors whose work reflects on self and community, love and obsession, history, and of course: queerness. Book club will meet on the third Sunday of each month to discuss. In September we will be discussing My Lesbian Novel: a sui generis novel of queerness and art-making, philosophy and sex. Between reflections on art making and on the genre of lesbian romance, a romance novel of her own takes shape on the page. The result is a beautifully orchestrated dialogue between reflection and desire, or clarity and confusion, between the pleasures of form and the pleasures of freedom in the unspooling of sentences over time.
