Flora Street Live transforms the Dallas Arts District into a vibrant, walkable festival showcasing music, film, Broadway, visual art, dance, and free community activities presented across multiple partner venues. Designed to welcome both FIFA visitors and local audiences, the event highlights the cultural brilliance of one of the nations largest urban arts districts. Festival partners include the AT&T Performing Arts Center, the City of Dallas Office of Arts & Culture, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Arts District, and TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND. Events range from live performances to interactive artistic experiences, creating a multivenue celebration that invites attendees to explore Dallas arts at every turn. SHAKEY GRAVES Across his career, Shakey Gravesa.k.a. the performance moniker of Austin, Texas-born Alejandro Rose-Garciahas intentionally created thrilling musical adventures tailored to each fan:burning CDs and putting them in personalized decorated bags; building intricate scavenger hunts that send fans in search of unique tapes; and Bandcamp-exclusive releases. The fans and musicians that really resonate with meand the inexplicable ways that I find things that I likeare usually entirely through randomness and chaos and accident, Rose-Garcia says. Ive always been on this quest to make people feel like my own music is a choose your own adventure. In 2024 Rose-Garcia celebrated the ten year anniversary of his And The War Came album with a special 10 Year Anniversary Edition release featuring never before heard demos and b-sides from the recording process and inviting fans to enter the long-since abandoned Music House. AMANDA SHIRES A truly singular creative force, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Amanda Shires has made an extraordinary career out of restlessly pursuing her deepest instincts and passions. Since getting her start playing fiddle with the legendary Texas Playboys at the young age of 15, the West Texas native has brought her nuanced songwriting and boundless originality to a series of critically acclaimed solo albums, collaborated with the likes of John Prine and Justin Townes Earle, and earned the 2017 Emerging Artist of the Year prize from the Americana Music Association (AMA). Amanda is also the founder of The Highwomen a supergroup she performs in alongside Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Brandi Carlile.She received unanimous praise for her albumTake It Like A Man.Written and recorded during lockdown,Take It Like A Manis a fearless song cycle of ruthlessly candid tunes documenting Amandas life as a woman during a tumultuous time and features guest vocals byMaren MorrisandBrittney Spencer.Her anticipated new album will be released in the fall of 2025. J. ISAIAH EVANS & THE BOSS TWEED Fueled by American rock & roll and Texan country-boogie, J. Isaiah Evans & The Boss Tweed play revved-up roots music for garages, roadhouses, and juke joints. Its an old-school sound for the modern age, performed by an organ trio with overdriven amps and plenty of reverence for the trailblazers who came before them. Inspired by acts like Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, and Ike Turner, Evans teamed up with keyboardist Matthew Vasquez and drummer Spud Crowley to form The Boss Tweed after fronting another critically-acclaimed act, The 40 Acre Mule, for nearly a decade. The bands debut album, Americana Radio, finds the guys reimagining the organ trio an ensemble traditionally seen in jazz music as a vehicle for lean, mean rock & roll, delivering tracks like Lets Rock and A Thing For You with a mix of groove, grit, and Hammond B-3. Recorded to analog tape during two days of live-in-the-studio sessions, Americana Radio introduces a power trio rooted in the 21st century and inspired by the best parts of the past, breathing new life into familiar sounds along the way.

Alejandro Rose-Garcia (aka Shakey Graves) announced his newest album 'Can't Wake Up' (out now on Dualtone) with a simple message to his fans - “Next album. New sound. Sell your suspenders." That tongue-in-cheek statement, though, was a genuine attempt to prepare his followers for a major sonic shift for the Texas songwriter, who got his start performing as a one-man band, culminating with an Americana Music Awards win for "Emerging Artist of the Year" behind his breakout full-length album, 'And The War Came.' Now armed with a full band, Rose-Garcia leaves behind much of that stripped-down, folk-y sound. 'Can't Wake Up' takes his songwriting in a "decidedly bigger direction" full of "lush indie compositions" (Consequence of Sound), drawing on another set of his musical influences, ranging from the Beatles and Harry Nilsson to Elliott Smith, Broken Social Scene, Built to Spill and other '90s indie rock bands.

J. Isaiah Evans is a native of Dallas, Texas best known as the founder and front man of roots rock and roll band, The 40 Acre Mule. Following the critical and commercial success of The 40 Acre Mule’s Goodnight & Good Luck (State Fair Records, 2019), the band set out on an extensive touring schedule. Known for loud, high energy live shows, The 40 Acre Mule gained a devout following with fans all over the world. But there’s always room for something different. Enter J. Isaiah Evans & The Boss Tweed! A fan of organ driven bands such as Booker T. and the M.G.’s and the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, he’s forged a new path with a band that puts keys front and center of Americana rock creating what he calls "Garageicana Rock-N-Roll". “It’s an opportunity to try new sounds on some old favorites as well as explore new music with artists that I’ve always wanted to work with. I want to take Americana and blues and soul and garage rock and make it into something unique. I’m excited for people to get to know this new project.”- J. This was quickly followed by supporting slots for Jason Boland & The Stragglers, Silverada (formerly) Mike & the Moonpies, Messer Chups and Dave Alvin and The Third Mind with more tour dates on the horizon.
