The American Rodeo Championship Weekend returns to Globe Life Field on May 22–23, 2026, bringing the highest stakes in Western sports. Now in its 13th year, The American is the only rodeo where the world’s top champions compete across all eight disciplines while underdog Qualifiers battle for a life-changing $2 million bonus. Fans will see elite athletes like eight-time World Champion Stetson Wright, Rocker Steiner, Kassie Mowry, Riley Webb, and Ky Hamilton face off in a winner-take-all atmosphere where every moment matters. The weekend also features live performances from GRAMMY-nominated trio Midland on Friday and multi-platinum star Chris Young on Saturday, making it two nights of championship rodeo and top-tier country music.

From Dripping Springs, Texas – Midland picks up in the spirit of the greater Austin country music heyday of the 1970’s and 80’s. An EP is due out late 2015, recorded in Nashville and produced by Nathan Chapman and Shane McAnally. Midland is touring this summer with Aaron Watson on the East Coast as well as Texas and Arizona.
