The Writers' Garret: Poetry in Place

Poetry In Place documents the relationship of residents of Dallas with the Trinity River, one of the main geographical features motivating the placement of the city when it was founded. Over the last of nine months, dozens of residents joined Teaching Artists Lisa Huffaker and Joe Milazzo at monthly workshops along the river, recording their experience through poetry. In September an anthology of material selected by contributors was published online. On Sunday October 18th, join us for the release of the hard copy of the publication and hear from the writers who contributed. Attendance to the reading is free; copies of the Poetry In Place anthology will be available for purchase.RSVP Required!
