Dallas-based rock band Tripping Daisy returns home to close out the second leg of their "I Am an Elastic Firecracker" 30th Anniversary Tour at AM/FM on May 22. For this date, the band is performing their seminal 1995 album I Am an Elastic Firecracker in full — including "I Got A Girl," "Piranha," and "Rocketpop" — alongside fan favorites from across their catalog and a few surprises. Available exclusively at the merch booth and in limited quantities: a 3-song teaser CD previewing Time Capsule 2 , the band's forthcoming release of unreleased songs from the Tripping Daisy archive. Physical format only, tour-exclusive, gone when they're gone. Also at the booth: a refreshed run of the band's iconic merch collection, plus special edition bundles of original '90s merch pulled from DeLaughter's personal vault. Founded in Dallas in 1990, Tripping Daisy spent the '90s building a reputation as one of alternative rock's most dynamic and innovative live acts, with four critically acclaimed studio albums and placements in films like The Craft and Basquiat . The current lineup features original members Tim DeLaughter, Mark Pirro, Philip Karnats, and Bryan Wakeland, joined by Nick Earl and Dylan Silvers.
