Comedian Karlous Miller was born and raised in Oxford, Mississippi and is looking to launch his name amongst the major players of today’s comedy elites. When it comes to comedy only a few comedians have the natural gift of being funny without over doing it and Karlous definitely embodies that infectious gift. Karlous Miller is that comedian that might say just about anything. Virtually everyone in his family from his mother, Grandmother, his uncles and cousins has been a major influence in his edgy and boisterous style. Karlous moved to Atlanta from Mississippi in 2005 where he started his career as a stand-up comedian. He has traveled extensively around the world performing in St. Thomas, The Virgin Islands, Germany, and London. Karlous first television appearance was on Robert Townsends Partners in Crime-The New Generation; since then he has appeared on The Mo’nique Show, BET’s Hell Date Season Two, MTV’s “Yo Momma,” and was a semi-finalist on Bill Bellamy’s “Who Got Jokes.” He has also been featured in Creative Loafing, The Atlanta Journal- Constitution, and Punchlinemagazine.com along with V-103′s Frank and Wanda morning television/radio show and Atlanta’s HOT 107.9. Karlous has also worked with musicians like Case, Gucci Mane, Dem Franchise Boyz, Granddaddy Souf, Big Oomp (Records), Jermaine Dupri (SoSo Def), and T.I’s Grand Hustle Comedy. He recently appeared on BET’s Comic View (2014), NBC’s Last Comic Standing (2014), MTV2” Wild’N Out” Season 5 and is currently on Season 6 which will be airing July 2014. Some of his major influences consists of Red Foxx, Bernie Mack, Monique, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Cedric the Entertainer and Steve Harvey to name a few. As his career continues to expand, you can look for him on the stage and in television appearances because according to him, “If I wasn’t doing comedy, I would be doing comedy.” Karlous currently resides in Atlanta, GA where he continues to perfect his craft in comedy. If you happen to be in the ATL you can catch Karlous hosting at Kats Kafe on Tuesday nights. We will be seeing more of Karlous Miller soon as he is working on releasing his own independent film.
